Louisa Anne Meredith

Louisa Anne Meredith (1812-1895)

Born in England, Louisa Anne married Charles Meredith, her cousin, in 1839 when he returned on a trip from Australia. They sailed together to Australia later that same year and settled in Tasmania, in 1840, where Charles eventually entered politics. She was the author of several books which she also illustrated. Some of My Bush Friends in Tasmania was published in England, in 1860.
