Frederick McCoy

Frederick McCoy 1817-1899
Frederick McCoy was professor of natural science at Melbourne University and Director of the National Museum of Natural History of Melbourne. His Prodromus of the Zoology of Victoria: figures and descriptions of the living species of all classes of the Victorian indigenous animals, was published between 1878 and 1889. The prodromus, or preliminary issue, was made available in 20 parts.
